Thy Kingdom Come
Brother Jeffrey Keith
Receiving the
call to "come up hither" 20 plus years ago has left room for much
pontification.
That's enough big words to
satisfy my etymological bent and introduce myself. I really did
receive the call, albeit in a dream, and have since tried to
understand what that call entails.
I started studying Hebrew and Christian writings
from the git go but I always came up with the wrong questions,
evidently, because I ended up selling everything and hitting the road
"looking for Him", twice, so far. The questions stem from the
interpretions of what I read. Seemingly always interpreting the
verses different than the church "leaders". Anyway I never receive
their blessing when I leave and several let me know they wouldn't be
giving any blessing when they made "hints" that I should move on.
Early on in this walk I made it a point to
take every contradiction I could find in scripture concerning the
early church and try to search out its historical root. This searching
caused me to find a book of government, not a book of religion, the
bible. In that quest I could never put it together or understand how
He doesn't change and yet we, as His people, could have so many
different laws. There is only one lawgiver so how could we have so
many different laws? Evolution of law for new ideology and new
inventions doesn't require this much law.
I found that much of what is
espoused by religionists actually applies. It just doesn't apply in
the Kingdom that Yeshua HaNazrit, aka Jesus of Nazareth, appointed to
his disciples. I found that it is man that tries to replace Him with
law.
So in my writings you will find me
returning to the Hebrew root of ideas and concepts that the church has
distorted in trying to separate church and State. In those writings
you will also find that I don't separate the sacred from the secular.
The Kingdom exists whether I acknowledge it or not.
Lu, my helpmeet of 27 plus years,
and our son have used the writings of His Holy Church to further our
own understanding and commitment to the Kingdom. We are learning how
to be self sustaining and efficient at the same time by the knowledge
compiled by the living stones of this group and through the nurturing
of His Spirit within.
Every day brings a
new challenge and new opportunities and I hope the writings we at His
Church at Battle Creek contribute will be of some help in your own
daily search for truth.
