We compost!

    We compost extensively.

We compost anything that once breathed of life,
and some things that did not, maybe.

We compost entire, full size carcasses
such as cow, deer, horse and pig.

Bones do not decompose very fast.
    So, we accumulate bones?

We have been seeking a way to grind bones
for better use as a soil amendment.

During a moment of deep meditative contemplation!
    I received the answer.

    We are pretty excited
    about having purchased a used
    grain mill for 60 bucks.

Finding that it likes to make bone meal is an added blessing.

After a bit of testing with smaller specimens

I put in a cow leg bone the size of a ball bat.
    The grinder didn't even belch.

Crop response and progress will be posted.
