These vows are generic and are for your assistance only. To be used by minister of the church, sealed and recorded. Holy Matrimony is not what has become known as "common law marriage". There is a distinction between a common law marriage as recognized by the world and Holy Matrimony. Different governments, States and countries may have different rules for recognition. Proxy Ministers
The family is God's sacred institution. There are few ministers who understand the need to keep that godly institution as a free union under God. His Holy Church is dedicated to finding ministers who understand the gospel of the kingdom. But in the mean time we have a "Proxy Minister" program and forms to assist couples who desire the union of Holy Matrimony. We provide a form for theose who seek to get married by the rights and rituals we profess and cannot find a minister near them.
