Rome vs the United States

"'Civil Law,' 'Roman Law' and 'Roman Civil Law' are convertible phrases, meaning the same system of jurisprudence." Black's 3rd p 332.

The key to Roman success was not its legions or centralized government or its vast bureaucracy but it was the fact that, "...the healthy moral traditions of early Rome were maintained by the discipline of the family, resting on the supreme authority of the father - the patria potestas - and the powerful influence of the mother, to whom the early training of the child was entrusted."

It was an influx of new ways and a turning away from moral values that brought Rome down. "In the science of money-making which had been elaborate under Hellenistic monarchies, the Roman capitalists proved to be apt pupils of their Greek teachers." "Even amongst women there were symptoms of revolt against the older order, which showed itself in a growing freedom of manners and impatience of control, the marriage tie was relaxed, and the respect for mother and wife which had been so powerful in the maintenance of the Roman standard of morals, was grievously diminished."

"Italy was living through the fever of moral disintegration and incoherence which assails all civilized societies that are rich in the manifold resources of culture and enjoyment, but tolerate few or no restrains on the feverish struggle of contending appetites."¹ Sound familiar yet?

A Republic is not the same as an indirect Democracy. In a true or pure Republic its leaders are titular and therefore its governmental authority remains with the people. In a Republic the people are free from things public, as proclaimed in early Rome 500 years before the first Caesar, Libera Res Publica.

In an indirect democracy the people elect leaders who can make law without our consent for they are not titular and have been given power and authority. That authority though restricted by constitutions and contracts is still power which will eventually lead to greater and greater corruption.

Over the years the people steadily released the position of the Father of each house to the fathers of the State and eventually the emperium of that belonged within the family rested with the Emperor or Patronus of the nation. A nation under the authority of Parens Patria, Obey the Father.

Rome was originally a Republic which became more federal and empirical as the people looked to central government and eventually its own civil war. It was at that time the Roman Senate elected its first emperor, Augustus, who of course was actually Octavius. Originally Rome was under Janis as far as religious gods are concerned.
There are many things we should understand about Rome in order to understand the US. In 29 B.C. Gaius Octavianus marched into Rome as the "savior of the Republic" and was given the title of Augustus by the Senate.

He was then legally granted, under constitutional forms and limitations, the position Emperator,²

Emperator commander in chief of all military and naval forces, for a period of ten years. He could set foreign policy and establish treaties but at home each year he was elected consul and chief magistrate, swearing a binding oath of office read from clay tablets. Today's first citizen appoints federal justices who judge its citizenry. "Thus the republic was restored under the presidency of its 'first citizen' (princeps civitatis)."³

Principas Civitas, That is to say 'The first citizen' or chief executive officer of Rome a municipality. He was the president of Rome.

And the third office he requested to be created by the Senate was the most interesting and misunderstood. It was the office of God.

Actually he was not just the god of the Roman Empire but the 'Apo Theos', The originator of gods in the Roman Empire.

His duties as originator of gods was to appoint all the lesser gods throughout the empire. These gods were called theos in the Greek. Although the Bible NT translates the word theos into the word God it actually means judge. What he did was appoint judges like Pontius Pilate.

This could be seen as a quirk of language except the word elohim in the Hebrew which is the word translated into gods or God in the Old Testament was also the common word used to address judges in the Jewish courts at the time of Christ. Go look at your Strong's Concordance if you do not believe me.

This simple fact should open a whole new world as to the meaning of the Bible that has been kept from the ignorant masses for evil purposes.

What Jesus was claiming was that he was the rightful God of Judea and Rome agreed. Many of the people agreed and said so by shouting Highest [Hosana] Son of David. Those in positions of power are the ones who disagreed.

You will find this still true when you are dragged into today's courts of Rome.
There are gods many

Augustus as Emperator had dropped his position of Consul of Rome for almost 18 years while he settled disputes as a sort of combination N.A.T.O, U.N. and U.S. military force all rolled into one. He kept banking, trade and commerce prospering throughout the world and received great praise and adoration for the accomplishment.

There was another office of Pontifax Maximus, or "high priest", which is the only office the president of the United States has not fully claimed because of the separation of Church and state.

Today, the United States, a democracy in a republic,⁴ with constitutional forms and limitations, has a president who sets foreign policy and establishes treaties and who is also the commander in chief of the military and naval forces including the air force which canmake fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men.

And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, Revelation 13:11, 13

When the Separatists and pilgrims left the shores of England they said, "Good-bye Babylon. Good-bye Rome." The Common Law and the Holy Bible was the foundation of this Republic in the 1600's. The government's authority was insignificant although it rose from the Common Law of the Land. It is now Roman Law that dominates the legal system and the courts. In Black's law dictionary, found in every law office of the democracy, there is hardly a page that does not make reference to its Latin origins of legal principles.

Efforts to bring in Commercial Law, Equity and the Roman Civil law were here from the beginning. Cromwell had sent troops to America to 'Protect the Republic' but through the Judiciary Act of 1789 and by virtue of the provision of the United States constitution these contrary forms of law found a solid foothold in the Americas. These systems made great advances during our own Civil War under Lincoln and subsequent presidents such as Wilson, FDR, Johnson and Clinton. No presidency was immune to the forces of change and decay.

Today, the public schools and the legal courts and almost every aspect of the lives of the citizens of the United States is manipulated, guided and taxed by a legal system that mirrors that of Rome which has conquered the people not by the sword but by their own covetousness.

The Common Law and the Holy Bible have become catch words of the so called radical, extremists and religious fanatics. Such titles of derision have not been so commonly used by the legal authorities in America since the Tories and redcoats went back to George III.

If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquillity of servitude better than the animated contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen. ⁵

A vast social welfare system which has grown up in the United States as well as the burdensome bureaucracy that feeds on and supports, it are supported at the public cost. The true productive laborer who carries the weight of this beastly incorporation staggers with no rest in torment under the inflictions of today'sGabbai and Mokhes.

The result has been that a breakdown of the family values, a disrespect for the authority of parents, a cessation of marriage and its permanence. People now take delight in the imagery of violence, erotica and moral degeneration found in their two dimensional modern arenas.

But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. (Mt. 5:28)

It is said that we don't actually do such things as was done in the blood soaked arenas of the colliseums of Rome but is the violence not done in the hearts, streets and homes of our cities. Rome too started with blunted sword and choreographed battles. We can now watch in the comfort of our own homes with curious titilation asassignations, executions in Vietnam or espy with patriotic cheers as missiles crash through the roofs of bunkers in the blood soaked sands of remote deserts.

It is not so strange to think of the Roman Emperors as gods when you realize that George Washington himself was deified in the ceiling of the capitol dome. "Across the Dome's eye, 180 feet above the floor, spreads a gigantic allegorical painting by the Italian artist Constantino Brumidi. The painting depicts the 'Apotheosis,' or glorification, of George Washington. Surrounding Washington is sweeping circles are delicately colored figures--some 15 feet tall. They include gods and goddesses [among them Ceres, Vulcan, Mercury, Neptune, Minerva and 13 State godesses] pictured as protectors of American ideals and progress."⁶

Did God ordain (i.e., dictate, decree, impose) the United States Federal Democracy or any other government? Or was it ordained by false gods of man's vain imagination?

Rome was not an anarchy, but became a complex legal system of laws, regulations and obligations. The burdens that fell upon the average laborer in order to support this burgeoning bureaucracy and apathetic welfare state were immense and they depended upon a vast system of tax collectors and revenue officers. Tax collectors collected the regular dues, which consisted of ground-, income-, and poll-tax and others collected tax and duty upon imports and exports; on all that was bought and sold; bridge-money, road-money, harbour-dues, town-dues, etc. They had invented a tax that reached into the life of almost everyone. There were taxes on axles, wheels, pack-animals, pedestrians, roads, highways; on admission to markets; on carriers, bridges, ships, and quays; on crossing rivers, on dams, on licenses, in short, on such a variety of objects, that even the research of modern scholars has not been able to identify all the names.⁷ Today, not even certified public accountants can figure all the complexities of the present tax system

As God allowed Samuel to choose a king for His people because they had already turned from God, so also He allows man to choose his own rulers if he does not choose to be ruled by God. In the hearts and minds and souls there is a turning away from The God. Everyday men make other men their father through application, service and adoption. Instead of their Father, the LORD God Eternal Ruler, in the Kingdom of Heaven on earth, they turn to other rulers being reborn to new fathers.

And call no [man] your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. (Matthew 23:9)

To make such a statement was a shock to those who thought man's governments and the Roman political and judicial system, its peace and commerce was good for society and business. It would be like saying call no man on earth president.

The practice OF THE LEADERS OF GOVERNMENT AND RULERS OF A NATION being called father was a common everyday occurrence in the days of Augustus, Tiberius and Jesus. The Emperor was called patronus and Senators called patres or father.

"Patronus (Lat.) In Roman Law. A modification of the Latin word Pater, father. A denomination applied by Romulus to the first senators of Rome, and which they afterwards bore."

"Excise (tribute), in its origin, is the patrimonial right of emperors and kings."⁹

Even the right to tax was tied to the right of a father's authority over his children. These fathers were not natural fathers but were legal fathers. We have heard of the free bread and circuses of Rome that fed the apathy of the mob and seduced the people into moral decay. Like over indulgent fathers the Roman presidents and senators led their children into corruption and iniquity but also subjection.

...Our Father which art in heaven,Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as [it is] in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. (Matt 6:9,13)

The federal government would assume the position of Father of the subject citizen according to the law of Parens Patriae, Obey the Father.

"Redemption is deliverance from the power of an alien dominion and the enjoyment of the resulting freedom. It involves the idea of restoration to one who possesses a more fundamental right or interest. The best example of redemption in the Old Testament was the deliverance of the children of Israel from bondage, from the dominion of the alien power in Egypt."¹¹

One of the only difference between the beast and the image of the beast is is that the image of the beast can make fire come down from the heavens in the sight of man.

One of the only differences between Rome ond the US is and therefore the United Nations is that it is the Roman Emperator was in charge of the Army and the Navy and the Emperator of the US/UN is that the US has an Army, Navy and an Air Force.
