History

The Moment is where Past and Future meet.

John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

With the exhalation of first breath of man, History was born.

History is one of the oldest subjects to be contemplated by man kind. It has been said that, "History repeats itself."1 "Whether or not history repeats itself, historians repeat each other."2 "The judgment of history depends on who writes it."3 Which is why it was also said that, "History is an agreed-upon set of lies."4

"There is nothing so powerful as truth and often nothing as strange."5 "So very difficult a matter is it to trace and find out the truth of anything by history."6 The tangible pieces of the historical puzzle are not always readily available. The only thing we have to help us devise the truth of resolving this puzzle is thought. But, "Thinking is the hardest work there is, which is probably why so few engage in it."7 Ultimately to divine the resolute truth about history it must ultimately be accomplished by revelation and rests upon a foundation of faith.

"Not to know what happened before we were born is to remain perpetually a child." -Cicero, Roman orator.

The reality of history can be as allusive as a phantom in the night, yet it as much apart of truth of the present as our own souls are about who we are. There is nothing more important to aid in understanding the present as understanding the past. And to truly know History is the first lesson of all would be prophets.

Since, Adam hid his nakedness in the garden, man has hid the truth of his own history. What was damnable, injurious or merely uncomfortable has been washed, dry-cleaned or altered before depositing it in the official record of History. There have been those who have gone back and even expunged the record with the burning books, even whole libraries. Men have willingly died and murdered to cover the truth of their sins and misdeeds, to say nothing of the tireless efforts of vanity to make history more pleasing to the eye and palatable to the mind.

Patriotism and religion are the two most heinous felons of History.

There is a phenomenon that occurs when one becomes to comfortable with a long succession of lies. He no longer knows in his own conscious mind what is true and what is untrue. He actually begins to reveal the truth and display his hidden secrets. Not discerning of his own nakedness, he reveals all. Like the king with no clothes in his own vanity he uncovers his own shame.

3 John 1:8 We therefore ought to receive such, that we might be fellowhelpers to the truth.

We share openly with the world the truth that has been suppressed and hidden to cover the shame of men. We do this that truth would be revealed in your hearts and minds. We are willing to expose those men who would deny the truth, exercise authority over their brothers, live by the sweat, tears and blood of all of mankind and would also as beasts devour the flesh of the living so that they themselves would save their own lives at the expense of others.

Ezekiel 33:6 But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take [any] person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand.

There are those who will not wish to know the truth who find comfort in ignorance. I can assure you that ignorance is not bliss although it may seem that way for awhile. There is coming a day where the words of Isaiah shall become a reality in the lives of man who will not open their eyes to the truth.

Isaiah 33:14-16 The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings? He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil; He shall dwell on high: his place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks: bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure.

"We are apt to shut our eyes against a painful truth, and listen to the song of that siren till she transforms us into beasts. Is this the part of wise men, engaged in a great and arduous struggle for liberty? Are we disposed to be of the number of those who, having eyes, see not, and, having ears, hear not, the things which so nearly concern their temporal salvation? For my part, whatever anguish of spirit it may cost, I am willing to know the whole truth; to know the worst, and to provide for it." Patrick Henry, March 23, 1775.

Abraham Uncivilized

John 8:40 But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham.

John 18:37 Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.
