A Strong delusion

...insomuch that, if [it were] possible, they shall deceive the very elect. (Mtt 24:24) And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: (2 Ths 2:11) ... all nations deceived. ( Rev 18:23) And shall go out to deceive the nations ... (Rev 20:8)

Deceive all nations? What lie? How could all the Nations be deceived?

Christ is the Greek form of the word anointed just as Messiah is the Hebrew form of the same word. David was called Messiah or Anointed because he was the king and this is why Yeshua, called today Jesus, was called Christ, the anointed.

From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Matthew 4:17

What is the kingdom of Heaven? Heaven is translated from ouranos. Ouranos actually means not so much what is beyond the sky but the vaulted expanse of the sky with all things with in it. John Burnet states there is "no suitable word to express what the Greeks at first called an ouranos. " Burnet found the word "world" to be convenient to use for its translation. 1

Does the Kingdom of Heaven really mean the Kingdom of the World? In the Aramaic, the word malkuthach is translated into kingdom of heaven. It actually means a realm on the earth. The Roman Law believed that if a man truly owned the land, he owned it from the Celestial sky surrounding the earth all the way to its center.

"He owns the land from the heavens and to the center of the earth."2

Some deny Jesus was a king and point to John 18:36, "My kingdom is not of this world". There are five different words in the New Testament that are translated into the word 'world'. Which one did Jesus use and what does it really mean?

That statement was made before a Roman world court. The word 'world' In John 18:36 is translated from a word meaning "an apt and harmonious arrangement or constitution, order, government.".

That Greek word translated world came from komizo meaning "to care for, take care of, provide for" or "carry off what is one's own". This is what governments and organized civil states do. They take care of the people by providing for them and in return they demand honor, allegiance and obedience.

John the Baptist baptized men into the kingdom of Heaven. Herod also preached a Kingdom of Heaven and had missionaries going out to baptize men into it. Baptism was never in question but the authority by which it was done was.

Israel was originally a nation were all men were Kings with God as Judge. Judea was a remnant of that kingdom. Jesus was the Saviour or Soter of that kingdom. Jesus preach a kingdom, not religion.

Jesus' kingdom was not like the kingdoms of the nations. It was operated under the perfect law of liberty operating on faith, hope and charity. He knew that entitlement programs offered by rulers, called Benefactors, also demand in return an entitlement of tribute, an excise or income tax. "And he said unto them, The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and they that exercise authority upon them are called benefactors. But ye shall not be so:... And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me;" Luke 22:25-29

What is His kingdom and what is the antithesis of that kingdom? How are men deceived? What is the whole truth and what is the lie?

And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Matthew 10:7

Jesus came in Spirit and in Truth. He was a king and he appointed a Kingdom. His disciples worked daily in the temple ministering and preaching that kingdom and setting up a network of faithful around the world. He warned us that we would be deceived and that all the nations would also be deceived.

There was a reason why Abraham was called out of Haran, Israel was called out of Egypt, The Levites were "called out" of the camp of the golden calf. Jesus also called out his disciples. They were His Ekklesia, His Called Out, His Holy Church.

His Holy Church, "In its most general sense, the religious society founded and established by Jesus Christ, to receive, preserve, and propagate His doctrines and ordinances."

It is, "A body or community of Christians, united under one form of government by the profession of one faith, and the observance of the same rituals and ceremonies."3
